We stayed at a hotel during the Xmas holidays in a rural area. the hotel's location amid the countryside helped us relax and unwind. the staff was helpful and always around when we needed something. We enjoyed the beautiful views of the mountains covered in snow from our room's windows. Most importantly, there's a heated pool, which was perfect for the winter.
The breakfast buffet was almost the same every day; we got tired of it after two mornings.

We have booked the hotel as a stopover from the airport on the way to Granada. It was very well suited for this. The nice big pool is ideal to relax a little bit before continuing.

very quiet location, good dinner
Plastic bags as shower sample packs, in the sense of sustainability far too much waste! Bathroom especially bathtub with shower curtain in need of optimisation

This hotel exceeded our expectations in several ways. the attention to detail throughout our stay was remarkable. From the beautifully decorated rooms to the delicious meals served at the on-site restaurant, it was clear that the hotel takes pride in providing a memorable experience for its guests. We especially appreciated the abundance of wardrobe and drawer space in our junior suite, ensuring we had a clutter-free stay.
No improvements needed, everything was perfect during our stay.

The staffs at the reception and the restaurant are all very friendly!
Booked three nights, but checked out after one night. Very bad isolation of the room (noise) and it was impossible to get a proper heat in the room.

Loved my stay in the countryside, rooms were thoughtfully decorated with lovely en-suite facilities. The staff was fantastic with warm and friendly hospitality. The swimming pool was clean and well-maintained. The view was amazing.
The place is a bit out of the way, so it might be challenging to find a place to eat locally. Wi-Fi was a bit slow and not very reliable.

Very nice staff, big, clean room, good breakfast ; located in the quiet countryside of Andalusia and not that difficult to find : leaving the autovia in direction of Villanueva de Tapia/Iznajar and +/- 150 meter after crossing the new bridge over the High Speed Train you'll find on the left hand side a white painted rock marked 'hotel' (on all the other local signs is marked 'hotel restaurant Los Borbollones and not the name of 'hotel Carlos Astorga). After booking we recieved an email with the itinerary from the hotel.

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The staff were really pleasant and helpful throughout my visit, providing excellent service. The cleanliness of the hotel was amazing, with well-maintained grounds and a clean swimming pool. The continental breakfast was inexpensive and delicious. The location of the hotel was perfect, with fast access to the highway and easy transportation options for sightseeing in this beautiful area.
No negatives.

Quiet location, restaurant food good, generally good but not inspired. Attractive layout, nice planting.
On arrival reception was weak, there was no one around to receive guests. It would be useful, if international guests are anticipated , for the staff to have a basic knowledge of english/french. Etc. The hotel has potential, but has inexperienced staff.
